Advanced Content Headings - pdf, print, email and other issues

If you have a freshly installed Joomla installation and on the front page the email, print & pdf icons aren't showing then you are in luck because here is the solution:

In the Administrator section, go to Menu->mainmenu then click on the Home menu link. Then on the right side there is a parameters tab (for Joomla 1.5.x open the Parameters (component) option) and at the bottom of that tab are the settings to set your Email, Print and PDF icons. By default Joomla sets these to Hide. You can then set these values to Show or Use Global.
