Template Parameters - Power Kite Template

All Theme Joomla commercial template releases have settings toconfigure the template to your requirements. This guide explains allthe various parameters (or Controls Module settings - Joomla 1.0.x) for the latest release version of the Power Kite template.

If you have a problem with the Power Kite parameters after using this guide, please open up a support ticket from our customer service area and we will sort you out. This guide is specifically for the latest version of the Power Kite template, and explains how to configure the various parameter settings for Power Kite within the admin area (template parameters).

Parameter settings for the Power Kite template

The following configuration options are available:
Joomla 1.0.x: when you open the controls module (modules - site modules) from your administrator backend.
Joomla 1.5.x: when you open the template (extensions - template manager - power kite) from your administrator backend.

Base Parameters

You can get the hexadecimal value for any color from most color pickers built into image application like Adobe Fireworks or Photoshop. The lightbox option has been included incase you wish to disable the lightbox due to conflict with other lightboxes from other installed components.

Logo / Heading Parameters

If you prefer to just have the site name as your logo, you can select this by changing the logo type, however if you wish to have a image for the logo, you can set the paramters as above. This is optimised for SEO, giving the selected logo image H1 header tags and site name link, so that search bots will pick this up correctly.

Logo Type site name / image   as explained above
Logo image path server path to image templates/powerkite/images/ path from your site root, with file name
Logo Sizing None / Fixed   fixed or auto image size
Logo image width pixel width 200px width of selected image
Logo image height pixel width 200px height of selected image

Menu Parameters

The menu options below are for the built in site menu, select your Joomla menu you wish to use and assign it a type as shown above.

Menu Type sucker / split / standard   type of menu layout
Menu Name your menu names mainmenu name of the menu

Theme Style Parameters

Please note that with the URL to style option below, if you have SEF enabled or a SEO component installed, you must use the actual - written URL in the address bar (for example - /theme-features - with SEF on). The parameters below are for the default theme (all pages) and each of the other 5 specified pages (URL's) or components (articles etc).

Theme Style 1 - 5 enabled / disabled   to set styles on / off
Component to style installed components articles / contacts / any installed for full component pages styling
URL to style server path to page (URL) /joomla as explained above, site relative URL
Background image template path to image images/rollout.jpg path to image from template folder
Primary color hex value #000000 primary style color for theme page
Heading color hex value #000000 heading color for modules, theme page
Main text color hex value #000000 change text body color, as transparent
Link color hex value #000000 color for all links on page theme
Module outset left / right   alignment - outset module - page theme
Module inset left / right   alignment - inset module - page theme
