Power Slide Pro Component Setup and Configuration Guide

This is the Setup and Configuration Guide for the Power Slide Pro Administration Component, which details all settings and options for the latest commercial version release.

If you have a problem with using the Power Slide Pro admin component after using this guide, please open up a support ticket from our customer service area and we will sort you out. This guide is specifically for the latest version of the Power Slide Pro admin component and explains how to manage galleries, images and how to configure the various optional settings within the admin area.

The Power Slide Pro Admin Component works just like any other tabular data area in a standard Joomla 1.5.x backend area (like viewing and editing articles for example).

Managing Galleries

When you have the Power Slide Pro Admin Component open, click on the galleries icon or text to open the galleries admin area. This will show a list of galleries you have setup, which will be blank if you have just installed the component.

Gallery Parameters

Select either the edit or new icon (top right) to edit or create a new gallery. The options below are what will display in the front end when you are showing multiple galleries (in the gallery list) The following configuration options are available when you creating or editing a gallery:

Title any alpha value my photos The name of your gallery
Alias any alpha value my-photos For links, menus etc
Published Yes / No Yes Publish if gallery is complete
Description any text view my photos here A short description of the gallery

Managing Images

When you have the Power Slide Pro Admin Component open, click on the images icon or text to open the images admin area. This will show a list of images you have setup for a slideshow in a gallery, which will be blank if you have just installed the component. Once you have added some images you can just click on the image title to open that image item for editing.

Images Parameters

Select either the edit or new icon (top right) to setup or edit an image for a gallery slideshow. The following configuration options are the image parameters (image details) for one of your images. The options below are what will display in the front end when viewing an image in a slideshow.

Link any URL http://baloons.com "read more" or image link URL
Published Yes / No Yes Publish if image is complete
Gallery selector my photos Which gallery to put image inside
Description any text some nice baloons Description of the Image
Upload Image click   Opens the upload image dialogue
Select Image click   Opens the image selector

Configuration Options

When you have the Power Slide Pro Admin Component open, click on the configuration icon or text to open the Admin Component base configuration settings.

Configuration Parameters

You can set the following configuration parameters for the admin component - select either apply or save (top right) once you are done.

Upload Size numeric 1024 Maximum upload (1024kb = 1MB)
