Your template download file

Once you have made your purchase, a download link would have been sent to you to download your template file. Save this file in an easy to access location (like your desktop) and extract the contents of the file. Your file structure of the template zip will be as follows:

    Joomla 1.0.x:
  • template.zip - template install file
  • controls.zip - template controls module
  • rotation.zip - image rotator module

  • fusionlite.png - source image file
  • readme.txt - template info, fixes and release version
    Joomla 1.5.x:
  • template.zip - template install file
  • rotation.zip - image rotator module

Please note that our source image files are designed in Adobe Fireworks, which you can download full and trial versions from their web site. The controls module is also crucial and must be installed in order for the template to function properly.

Setting up your modules and other settings

Below is an image showing all the module positions for fusion lite; click on the image to see all the module positions:

Color Fusion module positions
  • Left Menus and Lists - To get your left menu displaying the same as on the demo site all you need to do is set the main menu module to a "flat list". All menus in fusion lite should be set to flat list as this is more symantec for site layout.
  • Advert and Inset Modules - Just assign your modules to these positions and they will show up respectively in those positions.
  • Rounded Module Suffix - You can add a suffix of -rounded to a module to put the module into a box and give it rounded corners. Just open up the module and add the text -rounded into the module suffix field. This works for the left and inset positions.
  • Square Module Suffix - You can add a suffix of -square to a module to put the module into a box and give it a nice square look. Just open up the module and add the text -square into the module suffix field. This works for the left and inset positions.

Fusion lite is designed to only have 1 column in the main content view. You can set this by navigating to your main menu, then click on your home page link (or any other menu link that shows more than 1 column) and change the columns parameter to 1.

"Read More" links in Joomla 1.5: In order to make the read more link appear in the Theme Joomla Advanced Content Headings, you need to open your article and in the article advanced parameters set the title linkable paramater to yes.
