Kupo Slides Video Plugin Guide

After following the Kupo Slides Component and Module Install Guide you now have the kupo_slides_pro_video.zip remaining to install and configure. This tutorial will show you the steps how to install the video plugin inside Kupo Slides Pro and how to setup your video slide show items.

Installing the Kupo Slides Pro Video Plugin

• Inside the Kupo Control Panel go to Extension Manager
• Click on the Install button (found at the top right of your screen)
• Browse for kupo_slides_pro_video.zip and click Install Extension
• That's all there is to it. Your Kupo Slides Pro can now play videos from DailyMotion, Vimeo and YouTube!

Configuring your Content Items to play video's from DailyMotion, Vimeo and YouTube

After following the steps for Creating Categories and Content Items for your slideshow you have created categories and content items for your slideshow. This will explain how to configure these content items to display video:

• From the Kupo Control Panel go to Content Management & select a content item to edit
• There will be a new field called Slide Link Type. Select Video
• 3 new fields will slide down:
• Video Type: Select the video type, either DailyMotion, Vimeo or YouTube depending on your video link.
• Video Dimension: Select the video ratio. Choose 16:9 for widescreen and 4:3 for standard box
• Video URL: Enter the URL link you would like to use by copying the link from the address bar on the page that you have found your video. e.g. Go to youtube.com. Search for "dave matthews band what you are" then select the first video in the list. You should get to this page now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLpYpg8Tpk0. Now copy the link in the address bar and paste it in this field. In this instance the link will be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLpYpg8Tpk0.
• Save the content item and now in the module if you click on the slide it will display a lightbox with the video you just entered for that slide
