Kupo Slides Multiple Content Generation Tutorial

This Tutorial explains how to use the multiple content generator tool inside Kupo Slides, which explains how to upload multiple content items to your image temporary directory and then how to generate content from those images in a few easy steps.

The Multiple Content section within Kupo Slides is where you can handle setting up large amounts of content items, Instead of having to configure them once at a time. You can upload multiple content items here by selecting the upload images button below which will place these image in your Kupo Slides Temporary Directory. Once you have done this you can Create Content using the button below to create a Slide Show from the images you just uploaded. This will also move the images from the Temporary Directory into your main Kupo Slides Image Directory.

To get to this area shown above, log in to your Joomla administration area, and from the top menu select Components followed by Kupo, then click on the multiple content link. This will put you in the multiple content generator tool main page.

Uploading Multiple Items

Select the multiple items button to open up the upload multiple items window. From this window shown below you can add a selection of images, upload selected images or remove your selected images.

To use this tool is very easy - simply browse for the selection of images you wish to upload (all uploaded images get put into your Kupo Slides Temporary Image Directory) and they will get added into the upload window, then click on the save icon to upload the images. You will see a progress bar as the images are uploaded. Once you have done this and your images are uploaded you can move onto the content generation tutorial shown below.

You can also FTP your images to the same upload location if this works for you. Upload them to the following directory on your server: [site name]/images/kupo/tmp/.

Generate Content

Once you have uploaded your images to the temporary directory via FTP or the multiple upload tool you can generate content from this directory by opening the generate content icon from the multiple content admin page - this will show up as below:

As shown in the image above, you should see your uploaded images shown on the left and the content generator parameters shown on the right. Below is an explanation of each parameter:

To set the category option parameter, you can choose to either select an existing category or create a new category, both of which are pretty self explanatory.

The Final Steps

Once you are happy with your image titles, descriptions and parameters you can click on the create content button shown on the top right. What this will do is take all the images from your temporary directory and move them to your Kupo Slides main image directory. Then all the parameter, title and description information will be applied to the images and your new slide show will have been created!
