IE display problem (strict vs standard mode) again

First of all: many thanks for this (very) nice template. I really like it, it's soft and relaxing, helping the visitors to concentrate on the content rather than on the form: after all, even if pleasant, the content should be the most important thing. A good template is all about this: being nice enough to become just natural and not disturbing the reader. Congrats!

I have an issue with IE (7 and 8, I don't have any 6 version on hand sorry). The div #right_area is displaying ok in Safari, Firefox but in IE it is sliding on the bottom right of the screen, very annoying. With the help of the IE 8 (8.0.6001.18702) Developer Tools (F12 Fn key) I switched Documents mode from "quirks Mode" to "Internet Explorer 8 Standards" or "Internet Explorer 7 Standards" and then the page is displayed correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Hints: I changed the default header.jpg, menu_bg.jpg, right_wisp.jpg and logo.jpg. Did I corrupted some stuff and then it's interpreted as too wide to fit in the #site_faux container?

Well, a bit lost I have to recon.. I'm far from being a CSS expert. Site being worked on is here. Any help appreciated. Many thanks

Thanks for all the positive words, this was actually our first template, and we are in the process of upgrading it to "Sublime Pro" which will be released early next year thanks to all the positive feedback.

I think your problem could have to do with the side margins or similar, as IE renders these differently - or the content in the template.

Try make a blank content page, link it to a menu and also make sure no modules are published onto that page and then view that in the front end, see if it breaks.

If it still breaks, try widen the holding container - and shortening either the left or right internal container... sorry of this is all a bit vague - but troubleshooting this sort of stuff in IE is such a pain.
