Thanks again Lumo
So kind! Ok I will try to figure this out.

Haven't used fireworks for a while. Shall post link when finished!

LOVE the template! BTW. How ok are you with me disabling the Theme Joomla tag at top right? I would like to reference you guys, but in a more subtle way, probably in the footer. What do you think? Tell me honestly, I'd like to honor your work.

BTW, do you use any messenger?

Robin

Footer and Copyright

Yes, Fireworks is the best option - just load up the source document and then manipulate the layers in the right layers panel - easy!

You can disable the Theme Joomla tag and reference it somewhere else, no problem. As for messenger, as soon as I get my mac, that will all be up and running again - will let you know

Have a cool day,
Lumo

Hello Lumo
Thanks for your reply =)
I was wondering if I could run something by you,.. again
I tried the template out in IE and Firefox yesterday, having been working on the different images, and previewing only in firefox. At which point I realise that IE does not load the template properly. As far as I know, I have changed no core detail, but I guess I'm mistaken.
If you don't mind taking a look, here are the screenshots of both browsers:
http://www.picoodle.com/view.php?img=/4/7/8/f_screen1m_23e9024.png&srv=img28
http://www.picoodle.com/view.php?img=/4/7/8/f_screen2m_29305b4.png&srv=img27

You can see the header image (actually a slideshow) has shifted a little, and the right menus and items have relocated to the bottom. If you have no time or inclination no worries
Robin

P.S. Editing the fireworks .PNG I find the same problem as with photoshop. The drop shadow is an effect, and when the layer's transparency it is applied to, changes, so does the effect. Arg! I think simplest solution is to remake the drop shadow on both parts ;D

Kind of found the problem, hehe, it is the slideshow module.. but hmm.. I assumed that if it simply took up the same spatial dimensions as the header image, then nothing would be different.. but when enabled, it doesnt seem to like the normal layout in IE..

Hello!

It seems that your header slide show image is causing some kind of padding on the slide images, which is throwing out your header and side panel (in internet exploder of course)

I would recommend checking your CSS if there is any custom CSS for the slide show, and checking the dimensions as well...

Remember we have a very cool javascript CSS browser checker built into all of our templates, with which you can apply custom CSS for specific browsers, for example:

#header (width: 50px} (will load in all browsers)

.ie #header {width: 40px;}
(will only load this style in IE)

So using that could solve your problem! besides that, good luck and your template is looking great!

let me know if possible what the problem is, or if you need more help sorting it.

Intarnat Explordder! arg.
Your browser checker script is beautiful! Wow.. SO easy to tidy things up with it!
Looking through the mod's CSS is like looking through the desert for a tree! wow.. dry css!
It's a nice little mod though..!
I attached it if you would like to have a look. If not no problems.
When layout's get shifted like that in IE, is it usually because of some unperfect dimensions, or is it a really bad render from IE? So scary!
Thanks for reply
Robin
