redirection plugin does not work?

I installed the plugin, enabled the plugin and browser specific redirection, but nothing's happend. I tried this plugin on 2 different sites, 2 server, with joomla 1.5.15 and 1.5.22, but I see nothing.

Lumo replied current issues effecting usage

There seems to be an issue with the plugin parameters - you can put the URL's in directly to the code source file:

/plugins/system/plg_sourceredirect.php

The code you looking for is shown with URL directs; just place the URL redirect manually in as you see "http://www.themejoomla.com"

Correction to the previous post....

I've been having a lot of trouble getting this plugin to work on the HOME page of my site. I have the plugin installed and manually coded the redirect URL's in the PHP code (seems a little difficult for a plugin that I just bought). But then the plugin doesn't work when a user browses to the home page of my MAIN site: www.sexwithstephanie.com

But then it does work when a user tries to navigate to any page past that like the login page, contact page etc. How can I make this plugin redirect a user to the mobile site before they ever see the main site? Thanks - Ken Elkins

Lumo replied Placed in the fix list

Very strange things you having there - as per my email to you, I have placed your issue in the fix list for when the core developer comes back in a week. Sorry for the hassle, will get it figured out ;)

Dennybot replied Not working...

So, are you saying I need to manually modify the php file above with the redirect url? Kinda buggy for a paid plugin, I must say.

What exactly should the manual edits look like?

Lumo replied This was solved I believe

I am sure this was solved so the plugin does function as it should - I have mailed Skashi to follow up and he will be in contact with you if this is not the case or if something else is causing this issue. Sorry for the hassle!

www.harvardsquaresalon.com doesn't redirect to www.harvardsquaresalon.mobi. I thought this would be easier to
use than adding a script to the index header. Any suggestions? Can we solve it by phone? ART

Lumo replied ...

Hello! There must be a conflict of some sort - drop us a support request with your web address / admin login (if possible) and we can test it... I think it could be a server issue...

Lumo replied solved!

we found a minor issue that causes certain server setup issues with mobile redirection - squashed that bug, problem solved!

derfall replied The new one worked!

Try it. www.harvardsquaresalon.com kicks to www.harvardsquaresalon.mobi .
Remeber to uninstall the previous version, set to "all mobile devices" and enter the .com URL. Is there a Wordpress version, and is it even needed? I'll probably do most sites in Wordpress, since many clients are more familiar with it.

There are a number of ways to make mobile sites (wix.com, weebly.com, templates, etc.). I've made a few via opensrs.com utilizing gomobi. They are primarily created through drag and drop buttons and are intuitive to use. The client can easily make changes to it. There's a feature to print out a nice window display showing the mobile site and a QR code to shoot.

Thanks for the help on getting the plug-in sorted out.
Again...a Wordpress version available?

Lumo replied Nice ;)

...great ...and yes we have built the WordPress version, just need to package it properly;) it is over at www.presspixels.com
