How can I insert am ENTRY/EXIT page in my JOOBLA site? In other words...a PERMISSIONS page that one can click on to enter the page?

Do I need to make one in Front page and put it as my main index page or is there an automated way to get that done?

The best way I can think of is to set your home page menu item on a "Registered" level. Then display the login/register module for people to access the site.

If you only want admin's to use the site before you make it live then you can just set your site to offline mode in the Joomla Configuration section. That will give you the same desired effect you are describing.
