PowerSlide Problems

Have ran into a few issues with powerslide, running version 1.2.3. The first issue is thumbnails not showing up i have tried both options for them. The other problem is when I turn on the resize option the images never load. They just sit there with the loading circle going around.

fizz replied That is most probably file permissions

The file "resizer.php" or the images folders cannot be read - definitely check the permissions and make sure that the relevant folders and files are chmod 755...

If this is not the case, mail me your URL and I will have a look

apophis3d replied yeah its set to 755

I have even tried going full on 777 on it with no go.

My Portfolio Site

You will find power slide in the gallery tab.

...with manually making a thumb that works. But I would like to get the auto feature to work.

fizz replied Cannot replicate your problem

Sorry for the delayed reply - been a bit swamped here...

I cannot seem to replicate your problem here - can you mail me a super admin account to your site - and if possible FTP details and I will sort it out on your test site for you?

fizz replied Is GD library installed on server

As per Skashi's support mail, I would check with your host as to whether the GD library is installed on your server, and also check my post in your other forum thread...

fizz replied Issues with resizing images

It seems that any issues with resizing images is caused mainly by specific server setups - usually the culprit is the version of your GD library - as was in this case, or conflicts with other scripts (like jquery code).

We have implemented fixes to the best of our abilities to work around this, if you are still stuck with a problem with this (and have a power slide license) let me know and i will send you the latest version which could sort you out

polosportstar replied I'm having the same problem.

What is GD so I can ask about it when I call the hosting company?
My url is here

Thanks,
Jared

fizz replied Got your images to show

It was the image path in the module settings - it had no trailing /

As to the thumbnails and resizing (which is the other issue) it definitely is permissions on your server - I mailed you the links to check...

Guys best thing to do is always look at your page source code (right click on site - view source) and look for your image (slide image name) - it will be in a link, try open that link in your browser...

polosportstar replied Thanks!

Awesome Thanks for all the help!

fizz replied No problem

Glad we could get you sorted out!
