Links not working in Power Slide Pro
I do love your component, but I'm having problems with the newest Powerslide Pro I've installed (I did buy a separate license for it by the way ) I had installed it for a client and I was very impressed, and wanted to use it for this new nature drawing site I'm launching. As I told you in the guide comments, I have no links that are clickable, whether the arrows, the "hide/show" or the "read more". I am a programmer, and have tried to figure this out myself, and as you said in the comments, I think it is that our happy little mod isn't finding the javascript.
Here's what I've done so far: I've gone into the code in /tpl/default.php and changed the relative URLS to the .js files to the site here, but that didn't do it! ( )
As you suggested, I have typed a direct path to the js files, and sure enough, there they are, so no problems there. I can see them where they are supposed to be when I look at them in FTP software. I am at a loss. I'd really appreciate any insights you have. thank you again.
LumoMongo replied It's 1 of 2 things
Well, if the javascript is all readable then at least we know it is not that. I have had a look, and to me it seems that it is 1 of 2 things - either a conflict with other javascript in your site or a conflict with your template.
To check this firstly just change your default template to another one of the core joomla installed templates, reload your site and see if all is fine.
To check for javascript conflicts, try disabling any other fancy code elements on the page where you are displaying your gallery (mainly just disable the modules) and that could help find the culprit - as one of these modules may be using mootools or similar. I have a feeling it is in the template though, or a module Let me know how it goes!
joyfulmommakim replied That worked!
Thank You! That worked. I looked at other templates, and realized the links worked in them, so I went back over my CSS, and realized that the Z-index for that div was likely interfering with the links. I removed that, and everything works well now.
LumoMongo replied Good to hear
Thought it would be something like that! glad you got sorted out
