Frustration with Power Slide Pro

I have been playing with Power Slide Pro for almost two days now. Some of the stuff I have figured out, like most of you about permissions, etc. But I am getting to the point of telling my client that this slide show is not worth the effort.

I can make this work if I place the module in a position. But the minute I try to create a straight menu link to the it, the link works, yes I turned off the other slide show that would appear on the page, and all I get is a box showing it is trying to load the images. Does a direct menu link work or not? I have worked with a lot of components, but this one is almost as challenging as trying to install VirtueMart. From what I can see on your site, no images are being output into the source code - therefore the slideshow has nothing to show.
Skashi has been working on refining the menu link - and I believe he is releasing an update today or Monday to help with this exact issue you are talking about I have sent him this post so he should send you a copy once the release version is complete.

Lumo is 100% correct here. There are no images being output in the source code. If you have added galleries and images, just make sure that they are published.

The menu link issue - I will be releasing an update on 19/20 Jan 2010, if not sooner which will solve your menu link problem. How it will work is that you create your Power Slide Display Module(s). Make sure that they are Enabled/Published. Then create your menu item, selecting the Power Slide Module Layout, and under Parameters (basic) there will be a drop down for you to select the different Power Slide Display Modules you would have created earlier. Hit Save and voila!

All galleries and pictures are published. So obviously it is a menu link issue. If I place the gallery in a position it works. Thanks for the quick response. I look forward to the menu link working.

The menu link issue as well as your current issue: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare imagearraygallery() has been fixed in the latest version: Power Slide Pro 1.3.1.
I will be sending you a download link shortly.

Apparently I need 1.3.1. Why can't I download the new version? Are you sending new versions to each individual customer?

I have not updated yet but will be doing so today. Is it going to have any affect on all the galleries we already have built?

@getyler2: I have emailed you regarding your concerns. Please reply to my email when you are available.

@caclemor: your galleries and images will all be intact. Just make sure to take a screenshot of your module parameter settings as Joomla automatically removes them when you uninstall the module. The component will uninstall and install without removing any of your galleries and/or images.
