I know my way around PHP and Javascript but haven't quite figured it out yet. also, when you make a search module, where do you put it for it to show up like it does in the sample? You can try putting the following CSS in your template CSS file - at the bottom of the CSS file: Code: #color_1, #color_2, #color_3, #color_4, #color_5, #l_spacer, #r_spacer { display: none; } As for the search module, set it to user 4 position in order for it to show up like in the demo. if this does not work for you, send me your URL and let me know what version of Joomla you are using so I can investigate further...
