Problems with displaying images or using the upload tool with Kupo?

Kupo Slides Pro

1. If you are having troubles displaying your images and/or thumbnails try the following:

Note: These examples are for Kupo Slides Pro but the same concept can be applied to all versions of Kupo.

1.1 Go to the Extension Manager, click on the Settings for the Kupo Slides Pro template and change the URL Method from Absolute to Relative or vice-versa.

1.2 Using FTP, browse to the file: [site]/modules/mod_kuposlidespro/resizer.php. Copy it to your local machine, delete it from your server, then copy the file from your local machine back to the server (in the same directory).

1.3 If 1.2 did not work, try the exact same thing but with the entire mod_kuposlidespro directory:
Using FTP, browse to the folder: [site]/modules/. Copy mod_kuposlidespro to your local machine, delete the folder from your server, then copy the folder from your local machine back to the server (in the same directory).

1.4 Make sure that the following has the correct file/folder permissions:
[site]/modules/mod_kuposlidespro/resizer.php (644 or 664 depending on your server setup)
[site]/modules/mod_kuposlidespro/cache/ (755 or 775 depending on your server setup)
[site]/images/ (755 or 775 depending on your server setup)
[site]/images/kupo/ (755 or 775 depending on your server setup)
[site]/images/kupo/tmp/ (755 or 775 depending on your server setup)

2. If you are getting an HTTP Error when trying to upload images via the Upload Images tool try the following:

2.1 Using FTP, browse to the path: [site]/administrator/components/com_kupo/assets/js/. Copy the following files to your local machine:
jquery.uploadify.v2.1.0.min.js
swfobject.js
uploadify.php
uploadify.swf

Now delete those files from your server. Once done, copy files you had just copied to your local machine back to the server (in the same directory).

These are server-specific issues that we have picked up working with different server setups in the past.

skashi replied Ensure Installation Checklist is all good

In your Kupo Control Panel click on Installation Checklist. These should all be enabled.

Also make sure that the php function allow_url_fopen is set to enabled in your server php.ini configuration.

does kupo support the joomla FTP layer? - i have unwriteable directories in the checklist. e.g. the upload to images/kupo still works, even is i dont set it to 777 chemod.
also another question: what is this directory: modules/mod_kuposlidespro/resizer.php/ ?
or should i set the php file itself to 777?
best regards!

The folders should be set to 755 or 775 (depending on your server setup).
The files should be set to 644 or 664 (depending on your server setup).

hm, this is a little bit strange, but it can easily be related to a ftp client / server issue. i ll check with our sys admin.

e.g.:
images/kupo/ is unwriteable (checklist), i chmod it to 777, after checking the permissions again in the FTP client the directory is then displayed still as 755, but in the checklist it is displayed writeable.

thanks.
best regards!
