Next/Previous Buttons not displayed in slideshow?

I seem to have lost the Next/Previous buttons in my galleries. See here.

Show Controls is set to Yes. Thanks.

As far as I can tell the code for the left/right is not even being generated (as it would be if you set it to "no" in the module)...
Are you sure you are editing the correct module, and have cleared the cache on your server?
