Changing background colors and/or background image
by drsussman 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi. I couldn't decide between Color Fusion and Fusion Lite, so I bought them both!

Here's my dilemma. I love the look and feel of Color Fusion, but I find the white text on black background in the main content area hard to read. Fusion Lite has a nice black text on white background content area, but the rest of the template looks washed out to me. So, what I would REALLY like is the Color Fusion template (dark at the top, sides, and bottom), but with a center content area that had a white background and black text, preferably inside an automatically resizing box with rounded edges. (There are many standard HTML sites that use this kind of layout).

Is this do-able in Color Fusion and/or Fusion Lite?

I love working with these templates, and appreciate your help on this.

Thanks much.

Hi Barry, So glad you like the template (and it's 2 versions!)

As to your questions, changing colors in the CSS and minor structural changes is not a problem, and I can help you out with that... best way to do this is if possible to either send me a screen shot image of what you would like, or setup your site on a test web URL, create a super admin password for me and I will edit the files on your site.

As for wrapping the content area in a big round box or similar, this could effect the structural layout of Fusion Lite / Color Fusion too much, and basically take hours and hours to do, so I would advise keeping it simple.

That being said, send me (contact, support form or post image here) your ideas and I will have a look at them and see what I can do!

Dear Lumo,

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I will let you know as soon as I have something posted online so you can take a look at it.

Do you think it will be easier to (1) start with Color Fusion and change the background of the content area, or (2) start with Fusion Light and change the overall site background as well as the backgrounds of the header, footer, and side panels?

Barry

I think it will be the same difference, however - I would go with number (1)

Hi, Lumo. You offered to help me get the best of both worlds in Color Fusion and Fusion Lite, and asked me to get back to you when my site was online. You already have my super-administrator login info for http://www.addguys.com.

I would like to end up with the dark features of Color Fusion's headers, menus, footer, etc. , but with my main content area in the center of the page being white.

JoomlaShack has a template that is similar to what I am talking about. For a number of reasons, I like your templates better, and would like to stay with them, but please take a look at their template at http://demotemplates.joomlashack.com/lightfast/. That template is similar to the design I would like to end up with.

Can something similar be done in Color Fusion or Fusion Lite?

Thanks much.

Barry
